Macaroni (?? - June 2006) was a dual PIII 550MHz machine with 256MB RAM, an Intel EtherExpress PRO/100+ NIC, an AHA-2940U2W SCSI adapter, and a 9.1GB Quantum Atlas 10K drive. It ran Slackware Linux 7.0 before being transitioned to Debian, and it served as Intranet server and main DNS server; the Intranet responsibilities encompassed 8th period activities, LAN File access, and Email. The Intranet service was transitioned to a new server (Mage) around J-Day of 2006, and the Intranet box was recycled. It is unknown when this server came into the Syslab. Before being retired, Macaroni ran as a redundant backup to Humboldt[1].
