Chuku (Spring 2005 - Spring 2008) was a Sun Enterprise 420R server residing in the Sun rack in the Machine Room. It was donated to the school in spring 2005 by the NIH, and was retired in Spring 2008 with newer servers from the Sun Academic Excellence Grant. This server ran the primary Sun Directory Server (LDAP) and Identity Synchronization for Windows (see Sun LDAP/Kerberos integration) for NSS (user information databases). Chuku ran Directory Server redundantly with Mihr, another 420R.

Chuku was a Sun Enterprise 420R server with 4 450MHz UltraSPARC-II processors, 4GB RAM, and a 18GB SCSI disk running Solaris 10.
