Chuku is a Sun Enterprise 420R server residing in the Sun rack in the Machine Room. This server is currently running the primary Sun Directory Server (LDAP) and Identity Synchronization for Windows (see Sun LDAP/Kerberos integration) for NSS (user information databases). Chuku runs Directory Server redundantly with Mihr, another 420R. .

History

Chuku was one of the donated Sun servers acquired by the CSL. It will be replaced in 2008 with servers received from Sun through the Sun Academic Excellence Grant.
